Donations were recently made to honor three area citizens. We are honored to be able to provide books dedicated to their memory.


Mr. Everett "Red" Wiley was born June 11, 1931 and departed this life on July 12, 2016. Mr. Wiley had lived in the area since 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He joined the Port Arthur Police Department in 1956 and retired in 1990 as a Lieutenant with the Detective Division after 35 years of service. His contributor is Diane Davis, of Groves. The following books are on order for Mr. Wiley as of this date.

Kerrie Lynn Benz was honored by Cindy May Walker of Spring, Texas. Kerrie was born April 5, 1963 and departed on August 23, 2016. Kerrie loved to read and loved her home state of Texas. Some of her favorite authors were John Grisham, James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Robert Ludlum and Stephen King.

Mrs. Hilda Meredith Pierce is being honored by Joe and Donna Robertson. Hilda was born September 20,1923 and departed on November 4, 2016. She is survived by her husband Jack, and a large family. Hilda loved to cook and was an excellent seamtress.  She also loved to travel with the Gulfey Mules and Mates. The book we will be ordering for Hilda is being researched.
